Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki tō mātou Ao
Welcome to Our World
Hauora Wāhine was born from a desire to create a safe, nurturing space for women to reconnect with their mauri (life force) and the whenua (land). Our retreats are held at various locations across Aotearoa. We follow tikanga (protocols) to honour these spaces and the knowledge shared within them. Here, you are not a guest, but a part of our whānau, embraced by the warmth of our manaakitanga.
We practice Rongoā Māori (traditional healing), mirimiri (bodywork), and kōrero (storytelling) to help you release what no longer serves you and to reclaim your mana wāhine (the inherent power and prestige of being a woman).

Ngā Mātāpono - Our Guiding Principles
Tikanga
Tikanga is the foundation of everything we do. It represents our cultural practices, protocols, and the correct way of doing things. From the pōwhiri (welcome ceremony) to our daily interactions, we are guided by customs passed down through generations, ensuring a respectful and authentic experience.
We express Manaakitanga through care, hospitality, and mutual respect. It is our commitment to uplift your mana and wairua (spirit). You will be nourished with kai (food) sourced from the land, cared for by our kaimahi (staff), and held in a space of aroha (love) and support throughout your journey.
Whanaungatanga is the deep connection we build through shared experiences and kinship. It is the understanding that we are all interconnected. In our circles, you will forge lasting bonds with other wāhine, creating a supportive network that extends far beyond the retreat itself.
A 3-day retreat focused on whakawātea (clearing). Through ceremonies by the moana (ocean) and learning about Rongoā rākau (plant medicine), we release old energies and make space for the new.
Te Manawa o te Whenua - Grounding and Reconnecting
This 4-day haerenga (journey) is about grounding and reconnecting. We delve into mirimiri and romiromi (deep bodywork) to align tinana (body), hinengaro (mind) and wairua (spirit).
A 5-day retreat guided by the maramataka (Māori lunar calendar). We focus on whakatipu (growth) through wānanga (learning forums), storytelling, and connecting with our celestial guides.
